About: As an Opelousas, LA native, Clayton earned a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2014, with resulting licensure as a Professional Licensed Counselor from the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners and certification as a Registered Play Therapist from the United States Association for Play Therapy. Clayton is focused on complex Child and Adolescent concerns involving ODD, Conduct Disorder, Trauma, School Removal, and cases where multiple therapists have not worked out.  Interventions include play, individual, family, and group therapy.   Clayton approaches counseling from a family systems perspective. Emphasis is on the interactions of individuals within a system (e.g., a family is a system). In this approach a change in one part of the system is seen as affecting all other parts of the system, and the system as a whole. He uses an action-oriented approach in which you may be asked to make individual, relationship, and/or family changes.    Play Therapy is primarily used with children and adolescents.  Non-directive play is meant to allow younger clients the opportunity to communicate through a familiar and safe modality.gh a familiar and safe modality.

About: George Winegeart, born in Clovis, New Mexico, has lived in many small towns of North Texas and graduated High School in Hamlin, Texas. He was drafted into the Army and served 4 years in Germany.  He attended Pepperdine University and earned a Missions degree. He received a Master's in counseling from Ball State of Muncie, IN in Frankfurt, Germany.  He has done pastoral work in various states and offered counseling for those communities. He operated a counseling center called "Life Solutions" in Texas. In 2019, he retired and moved to Youngsville, La.  His goal in life is to be of service to individuals and families as much as possible.  Life is meant to be lived in harmony as much as feasible. There will always be difficult times, but they are faced with resilience and hope for the future. An important part of therapy is developing a secure and caring relationship.
